This week the Ladies of the LET and the LPGA prepare for next week’s Open Championship with a co-sponsored event in Scotland. This tournament has been held since 1986, where American Meredith Marshall was champion and took home £4,500. Meredith may not be a household name but she beat Laura Davies by seven strokes. Meredith was the only American to win the Scottish until Stacey Lewis in 2020.
On and off the LET schedule, it became a regular event in 2110 and a co-sanctioned event with the LPGA in 2017. As with the men, it is played the week before the women’s Open Championship.
