This week we go to Singapore for the HSBC. Once again this is a limited field, no cut event. Met loves this course and plays there all the time. I am sure she will take off work just to give us all the gossip.
Lydia’s first win in 11 tries, she took home $360,000. It has been on the schedule since 2008, when Lorena Ochoa was the champion. In 2008 Lorena took home $300k out of a $2 Million purse. The purse stayed the same in 2009 but dropped to ‘just’ $1.3 million when Ai Miyazato won in 2010. The purse is $2.4 million this year.
FUN FACT: Ai Miyazato was the first golfer to be ranked number one in the world without ever winning a major.
