This week we start the PGA Tour playoffs. First up is Memphis with a field of the top 70, except Rory isn’t playing so . . . This is a no cut event where at the end the winner gets a really big check and the top 50 move on to the BMW. This event started life on the tour in New York as the Westchester Classic in 1967 where Jack was the winner. He took home $50k as champion. I don’t suppose he ever imagined how much the winner would get in just under 50 years.

FUN FACT: In 2015, when the event was known as The Barclays and held at the Plainfield Country Club, Brian Harman made two holes in one in the same round.
