This week the President’s Cup. The USA versus the World – less Europe. Similar to the Ryder Cup but this is played over four days and there are 30 points available. (this will be important when predicting the winning score) This is a biennial event alternating being held in the U.S. and somewhere else in the world – less Europe. First held in 1994, this event has resembled the post war years of the Ryder Cup, the U.S. dominated. Like the RC, the International Team won the cup once, in convincing fashion, and there has been one tie. In 1998, playing for the first time outside the U.S., the Internationals won the cup 20 1/2 – 11 1/2 (there were 32 points available back then). The International Team won every Fourball and Foursome session and split the singles 6 to 6 . . . It was a rout!
FUN FACT: The first ten Presidents Cups raised over $32 million for charity.
This Week is a Pick Six – At Least Two from each Team
