CME Race to the Globe 305

Our Season May be Over . . . but the Golf Goes On

This Week the CME Group Tour Championship

Held at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort

6556 Yards Par 72

Naples FL

The Defending Champion is Jeeno Thitikul

This is the season ending event for the LPGA and will include a million dollar bonus for the “Season-long Race to the CME Globe” . . . which can be but isn’t always the same person.  The tournament winner gets $4 million so if a golfer can pull off both . . . they will have a very happy caddie.

FUN FACT:  In the 14 years of this tournament, there have only been two winners from the U.S. and only one from Europe.  And in the “Race” there have been three from the U.S. and none from Europe.  Although I think just maybe . . . the U.S. will get another this year.

No Picks This Week so . . .

That’s Right Wendy . . . No Cut

Something Different

Our yearly competition is over but I didn’t feel like waiting for January.  Golf is now a year round thing because you know . . . money.  Even if we aren’t putting in our picks I am willing to go on building threads because . . . I’m a nice guy . . .

So what are we going to talk about?  And since I am the guy who makes the drinks, the first one is on me, after that feel free to put in your order.  Let me know what you think.

This past year what surprised, excited or gave us hope?  My picks for the week . . .

Surprise – Senator John Fetterman, my first opinion of him was completely negative and completely wrong.

Excited – That almost comeback in singles for the U.S. at the Ryder Cup.  It was never going to be enough, but pride and grit will get you a long way.

Hope – Deb and I just had our 40th wedding anniversary.  Got to say as I thought about that . . . it was a “Wow” moment.  We celebrated by playing 18 with good friends and then having Champagne and Pizza for dinner.

Your Turn
