In the TH We Didn’t Do the BMW So . . . Baby Ducks
This week we are in Maryland for the second round of the playoffs. The BMW Championship began life as the Western Open. First held in 1899, Scotsman Willie Smith was the winner and took home $50. In 2007, the Western Open became the BMW. That first champion was some kid named Tiger . . . and he took home a million point two. This is a no cut event for the top 50 with everyone vying to be in the top 30 for next week in Atlanta.
NOT SO FUN FACT: During the second round of the 1975 Western, waiting out a rain delay, Lee Trevino and Jerry Heard were struck by lightning.

The one that learns by reading . . . The few who learn by observation
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves”
