KPMG LPGA PGA 4

This Week the Ladies’ PGA Championship

Held at Fields Ranch East

7114 Yards  Par 72

Frisco TX

The Defending Champion is Amy Yang

In the TH the Champion is JJ

This is the first time the event has been held at this venue, which is the headquarters for the PGA . . . convenient and profitable . . . every good thing.

First played in 1955, Beverly Hanson was the first champion and took home a tidy $1200 for her efforts.  That was the first and only time this event has been contested as match play.

This is a PGA Championship and is for Professionals only . . . except in 2005, when the rules were changed to allow Michelle Wie to play as an amateur.  There was quite the controversy and a lot of complaints from the rest of the field . . . which pretty much went away when Michelle finished second alone, three strokes behind Annika.  After Michelle turned pro they rescinded the exception . . . Money !

FUN FACT:  This is one of five Majors on the LPGA Tour.  It is not recognized as a Major by the Ladies European Tour . . . which does not recognize any of the three Majors played in the U.S.

Is he still wrong?”
